Birthday Vacation Part 2
This is part 2 of yesterday's post
After my kayack trip I went out to the sports bar with my friend ken who I have not seen in a while. we shared a pitcher of beer and some natchos whie we plaied pool and darts. the conversation iludes me right now but it was a all around good time. my firend Tim was spose to meet us up there but in true Timm fassion he did not show up. this caused a little stress for me but I redly just let it go. nothing I could do about it then there is less I can do about it now. all in all Sunday was a great day.
Monday
Monday witch was my actual birthday my parents bought me a 3 day pass for Disney witch I need to use in the next 6 months. the first day I used Monday to go to EPCOT and it was a great day. When purchasing the tickets the cashier asked for our Florida Drivers licences for proof of residency. She noticed that it was my birthday so she said Happy Birthday Lars and gave me a pin to ware. I thought this was cool so I put it on. That made my whole day. Every Cast Member (disney employe) that saw me said Happy Birthdat to me and did everything in there power to make shure I was having a great day. This was cool and I cannot say enought good things about being noticed.
My first stop for the day was The Land. When I went in there I found that they had changed the whole layout of this pavilion. I knwe most of this was comming because they put in a new ride Soring. I saw that there was a 60 min wait in line so I disided to pay for a tour called Behind the Seeds. This tour took us back into the green houses of the Land and showed us how they grow all for there plants. I have done this before but I always like to learn and I figured (corectly) that I would learn more and have a good time on this tour. Our first stop was a lab in witch they find good ways in controling there pest problems. they use "good bugs" to get rid of the "bad bugs" I know that my sister in law is reading this and she will probaly write to me saying there is no such thing as a good bug. other than the dead varity. I dont ming bugs they dont bother me but it is a problem when they eat our tomatos before we get a chance to have them. after that lab we visited another lab that is run by the USDA and NASA where they try new ways to grow plants some of witch they want to use on the space station. Then we went on to my favorite part of the tour the green houses. They always have the coolest plants and the best ways to grow them. I learned all I need ot know about hydroponics. Alot of there plants they can grow without soil witch I think is cool. I have several Idias on how to start my own hydroponic garden. I cannot wait to het started on that. one of their coller plants was a tomato tree. this suckker was huge..... they also tought us how so start our own seedlings. I have raddishes they tought me how to start. we will see how well they work. well I guess I have to make this post into another chapter of what seems is going to be meany. I need to go back to work today and I have to get ready for that. I will write more later
